Join us for a well-timed seasonal program about migrating birds, and how you can help them journey safely on their way.

In the final part of the series, ecologist Deborah Perkins will focus on the migratory stage of a bird’s life cycle and how we can support their (mostly nocturnal) flights

Songbirds in particular face an array of challenges during fall migration, and each one of us can do something to help.

• How birds are capable of physiological and navigational feats unparalleled in the animal kingdom. 

• How to take action on the ground that will help birds aloft, and during stopovers. 

• Why many birds migrate at night, and why bird-friendly lighting is so important.

This event begins with an interactive guided experience of the ground and sky habitats at Gilsland Farm, followed by an informative indoor presentation.
