LANDSCAPING FOR WILDLIFE - Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

  • Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (map)

Everyday landscaping choices can create (or destroy) habitat that wildlife populations so urgently need. In this highly engaging class, we will study essential elements of habitat and learn how to design, plant, and shape the land in ways that are most beneficial for wildlife - at any scale.

We’ll begin with a short online lecture followed by an interactive workshop and field study at the Gardens. Walk away with the ability to skillfully read the landscape through the eyes of a wildlife ecologist and use that knowledge to make impactful decisions about any landscape you take care of.

Online lecture held Friday, October 2nd, from 11 am—1 pm.

Interactive field-study workshop on Saturday, October 3rd, from 9:30 am—4:30 pm.

Registration is limited to 15.

Cost is $160 for members and $200 for non-members.
